ARRIVAL, AIRPORT TRANSFER

 

On the 3rd and 4th of November an information desk of the WSF Organisers will be available on terminal 2A and 2B of Liszt Ferenc Budapest Airport.

Our hostesses will be pleased to assist you with all the information concerning your accomodation and airport transfer.

For the airport transfer from/to the city center we recommend to use the regulated taxi sevice provider, airport shuttle minibuses or public transport.

 

  • Regulated taxi service provider (Főtaxi http://www.fotaxi.hu/?Language=en) has its own desk next to the exit of the airport. All cars are equipped with a POS terminal, therefore credit cards are also accepted. A ride to the city center should typically cost around 6500 HUF (22 EUR) depending on the distance and traffic conditions.

 

  • Airport Shuttle Minibus is a shared-ride service, which means that passengers travelling to/from the same/closely situated address are escorted in the same vehicle. The AirportShuttle-Minibus Desks are to be found at every terminal (Terminal 2A and 2B). Reservations can be made in person at the AirportShuttle-Minibus Desks or at least 12 hours before your flight departure via the online reservation system www.airportshuttle.hu, or by calling the Call Center by dialing the number (+36-1) 296-8555.

  • Public transport in Budapest is also a reliable and comfortable way to travel. From 4:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m., bus number 200E commutes between Terminal 2 and the Kőbánya-Kispest metro terminal (metro line M3). From the Kőbánya-Kispest metro terminal, passengers can take the metro M3 towards Újpest Központ to reach the city center (Deák Ferenc tér stop).

4 November 20:00: Opening Reception in the Palace of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences

 

5 November 19:30: Reception at Bálna Cultural Centre – Year of Light Event

(Address: Fővám tér 11-12.)

A sightseeing boat (named Budapest) departs from the Palace of the Academy at 19:00.

For those wishing to choose the bus instead, a limited number of buses will also be available between 19:00 – 20:00. Gathering for participants opting for the bus will be at the entrance of the Palace of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences. After 22:00 buses will be also available to take participants back to our partner hotels.

 

6 November 19:00: Reception at Castle Garden Bazar (Várkert Bazár) – Innovation in Hungary

(Address: Ybl Miklós tér)

Buses taking participants to the venue depart between 18:00 – 19:00 from the Palace of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences

After 22:00 buses will be also available to take participants back to our partner hotels.
